I am both the Secretary (yes… secretary) of the Administrative Board of Primary Education of Serres and an IT admin (the guy that everybody calls and blames), at ICT department of Administration of Primary Education of Serres, Serres, Greece. Prior being an IT Admin, I was a K-12 Informatics Teacher, mainly coping with 6 to 12 yrs old raging kids. I also teach at the Department of Business Administration of Technical Educational Institution (TEI) of Central Macedonia at Serres (Information Systems/Electronic Commerce Lab). From time to time I conduct some research in the field of Software Engineering as a collaborator with the SWENG group at the Department of Informatics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I also hold a PhD from the same department. Particularly I am interested in Software Quality, Measurment and Emperical Software Engineering in Free/Libre/Open Source Software (FLOSS) development. My thesis was entitled «Methods of Analysis of Maintainability and Survivability of Free/Open Source Software Projects». I have also contributed to two important European IST projects (SQO-OSS and FLOSSMETRICS) and several National Funded R&D Projects in areas like Knowledge Management, Distance Certification and, lately, Management of Education and Quality Management..

At the Administration of Primary Education of Serres we run a various range of educational projects . From these projects, the most prominent and interesting is the International Short Film Youth Contest!
